HIT THE ROAD JACK, the premier wine country run, is now in its 22nd year.  HIT THE ROAD JACK'S 10K course is officially certified by the United States of America Track & Field Association (# CA98009TK).  Several records have been set on the course and, given its official certification, the possibility of a new record is always present whenever the race occurs.  HIT THE ROAD JACK also offers a 2.2 mile, non-certified, course.

The Run begins on the north side of the historic Sonoma Plaza.  Both the 10K and 2.2 mile are loop courses that wind through the vineyards and the beautiful Sonoma countryside, offering beautiful scenery and views of the Sonoma Valley countryside.
Both courses finish where they started at the Plaza.

HIT THE ROAD JACK has become well known for its outstanding refreshments and live music following the race.
Awards are presented to the top runners in each category.  All runners receive a T-shirt.
An entire day of activities follows the Run at the Sonoma Plaza, including the traditional Ox Roast festival benefiting the Sonoma Community Center and the Annual Art & Artisan Show.

All proceeds of HIT THE ROAD JACK directly benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs Valley of the Moon and Hospice By The Bay.

Runners Receive:

  • USATF Certified 10K
  • Mile Markers
